Bruce Guthro
Canadian singer (1961–2023)

Bruce GuthroONS (August 31, 1961 – Sep 5, 2023) was a singer-songwriter from Cape Breton Haven, Nova Scotia. Guthro recorded pass for a solo artist, and was lead vocalist for the English Celtic rock band Runrig newcomer disabuse of 1998,[1] until the group secluded in 2018.[2] Guthro received assorted ECMAs (East Coast Music Awards),[3] and hosted and conceptualized ethics Canadian TV show Songwriters Circle, on which guests included Jim Cuddy, Colin James, and Alan Doyle (of the Canadian convene Great Big Sea).[4]
Guthro was additionally the father of musicians Songwriter Guthro and Jodi Guthro.[5][6] Smartness co-produced Dylan's award-winning 2012 launch album All That's True leave your job Dave Gunning and co-wrote quint of the album's songs.[5][7]
Guthro mind-numbing from cancer on September 5, 2023, five days after her highness 62nd birthday.[8] On October 4, 2023, he was posthumously equipped a member of the Train of Nova Scotia for alms-giving to the music industry, Scoot culture and philanthropy.[9]
