കാര്യാട്ടില്‍ വീട്ടില്‍ കൃഷ്ണനും നാരായണിയുമാണു് മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍. പന്തളം എന്‍ എസ് എസ് കോളേജില്‍ നിന്നു് മലയാളത്തില്‍ ബിരുദമെടുത്ത രാമന്‍കുട്ടി കോളേജ് മാഗസിനിലും മറ്റും കവിതകള്‍ എഴുതുമായിരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ന്നു് നാടക സംഘങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഗാനങ്ങളും നാടകങ്ങളും എഴുതി.
